The first couple times I'd charged it and let it go, my two boys mainly sat back looking at it like "wtf?" and only moved when it went after them, but after that their involvement picked up quite a bit. One of my boys would reach up to the shelf where it was charging like "why aren't you down here going nuts?" I haven't had it long enough to see if it lasts. That'd give it a fifth star should it work continuously for around 5-6 months or more.

It works. This actually entertains my cat for long periods of time. He has learned how to turn it back on when it goes to sleep, and will watch it in fascination even when he's not chasing it. It really succeeds in holding his attention. In fact, he will cry for it when he wants to play! And watching him stalk it, plan ambushes and bunny-kick it is also amusing for me.

Keeps the cats well entertained. The battery lasts well over 3 hours and is easily charged. I’m looking to buy more of these clever toys!

Runs completely different from other cat toys. It will run in a straight line, suddenly change course. It even attacked my cat. My cat chase it all over the place. I have seen it go into corners, sit there a few seconds reverse directions and come rolling out. It is a great toy for an active cat.

The logic and engineering built into this toy is very clever. The design is so simple yet it seems to be able to extricate itself from any corner or obstacle and charges around with no apparent pattern or motive. One thing to note: this is shipped directly from China. So if, as was the case for us, there are major interruptions in shipping services overseas, your order may be delayed for a considerable length of time. Cost of doing business in this weird time in history.

The cat toy moves in a random, unpredictable fashion which is totally entrancing to my cat. Unfortunately, he is still so un-nerved by it that when the toy stops, he does not "bat" at it strongly enough to re-start it. His problem, not that of the toy!
